Process Innovation, Chrome Refining & Quality Control

Our R&D focus is on chrome refining — increasing chromium content while reducing unwanted elements to specified levels — enabling the production of Chrome Metal and specialised chrome-based materials with controlled chemistry and particle sizing. Our Advanced Quality Control Laboratory ensures stringent quality control from raw material inspection to finished-product verification.

Indiano Chrome's R&D is driven by a simple objective: Higher purity. Controlled chemistry. Consistent performance. Not every application requires conventional ferro chrome — some industries demand much higher chromium purity and tightly controlled levels of carbon and other impurities. Our refining and purification work addresses exactly that — supported by an Advanced Quality Control Laboratory with ICP-OES, MOSS Spectrometer, WD-XRF Spectrometer, LECO Carbon/Sulphur Analyser and Pellet Press.

Our Focus

From Ferro Alloy to High-Purity Chrome

Not every application requires conventional ferro chrome. Some industries demand much higher chromium purity and tightly controlled levels of carbon and other impurities.

For these applications, chrome-bearing materials undergo further processing and refining. Through controlled metallurgical processes, the desired chromium content is increased while unwanted elements are reduced to specified levels.

This enables the production of Chrome Metal and specialised chrome-based materials with controlled chemistry and particle sizing for demanding applications.

Why It Matters

The Value of High Purity

High-purity chrome materials are particularly valuable where even small variations in chemistry can influence the performance of the final alloy or component.

Consistent Performance

Controlled chemistry ensures predictable behaviour in demanding applications — from stainless steel to superalloys.

Precision Chemistry

Small variations in composition can influence performance — refining addresses this at the source.

Demanding Applications

Where conventional ferro chrome is not sufficient, high-purity chrome metal supports advanced applications.

India-First Benchmarks

Our work has delivered India's first Ultra Low Carbon Ferro Chrome (2022) and India's first 99% purity Chrome Metal (2026).

Advanced Quality Control Laboratory

Quality, Consistency, Reliability — Verified at Every Stage

Our Quality Control Laboratory plays a vital role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and reliability of our low carbon ferrochrome, ultra-low carbon ferrochrome, and chrome metal products. Equipped with advanced analytical instruments and supported by wet chemical analysis, our laboratory ensures stringent quality control from raw material inspection to finished-product verification.

From raw material to finished product: Every stage is verified — impurity monitoring, reductant quality, slag characterization, and critical carbon/sulphur determination — through a combination of advanced analytical instruments and wet chemical testing.
